Yes, but must be of natural hair color

  1. Extremist
  2. Indecent

What parts of the body are tattoos prohibited?
  1. head
  2. face (except permanent makeup)
  3. neck (anything above the t-shirt neckline)
  4. below the wrist bone, and hands, except Soldiers may have one ring tattoo on each hand
  5. below the joint of the bottom segment (portion closest to the palm) of the finger
Can previously documented tattoos on the neck or hands, for which Soldiers have a tattoo validation memorandum be grandfathered?
Yes
What jewelry are Soldiers only allowed to wear with Army uniforms?
  1. wristwatch
  2. wrist religious or identification bracelet
  3. a total of two rings
  4. one activity tracker, pedometer, or heart rate monitor
  5. medical alert bracelets, missing in action, prisoner of war, killed in action (black or silver color only), and religious bracelets
  6. only one item on each wrist
  7. male Soldiers are not allowed to wear earrings
When are females only authorized to wear earrings?
With the service, dress, mess, and evening mess uniforms
What does the regulation states for female earrings?
  1. may be screw-on, clip-on, or post-type
  2. gold, silver, white pearl, or diamond

In what situations wearing Army uniform is prohibited?
  1. In connection with the furtherance of any political or commercial interests
  2. When participating in public speeches, interviews, picket lines, marches, rallies, or public demonstrations
  3. When attending any event connected to an extremist organization.
  4. When wearing the uniform would bring discredit upon the Army
What does the regulation states about wearing a headgear?
  1. Headgear is not required if it would interfere with the safe operation of military vehicles
  2. Soldiers will not wear headgear indoors, unless under arms in an official capacity, or when directed by the commander
  3. Male and female Soldiers are not required to wear headgear to evening social events
  4. Soldiers will carry their headgear, when it is not worn, in their hands while wearing service, dress, mess, and evening mess uniforms
What is the regulation about wearing eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses?
  1. Conservative civilian prescription eyeglasses are authorized
  2. Wearing sunglasses when required for medical reasons
  3. Lenses or frames with conspicuous initials, designs, or other adornments are not authorized
  4. Tinted or colored contact lenses are not authorized
What does the regulation states about identification tags and security identification badges?
  1. Wear identification tags at all times while on duty in uniform
  2. Wearing identification tags around the neck, except when safety considerations apply (ie. during PT)
  3. Wearing security identification badges in restricted areas per commanders discretion, under applicable regulations

    5. mustache worn with a beard may extend sideways beyond the corners of the mouth to connect with the beard, but must be trimmed or groomed to not cover the upper lip
  3. Turban and under-turban
    1. made of a subdued material in a color that closely resembles the headgear for an assigned uniform
    2. worn in a neat and conservative manner
    3. free of designs or markings
    4. hair may not fall over the ears or eyebrows or touch the collar while in uniform
    5. Unless required, Soldiers granted this accommodation are not required to wear military headgear in addition to the turban or under-turban
What does the regulation states about wearing combat uniform?
  1. prescribed for year-round wear for all Soldiers
  2. Soldiers may roll-up the sleeves neatly no more than 3 inches above the elbow
  3. may be worn off-post, unless prohibited by the commander
